  Expecting a new baby? Don't forget about your four-legged first baby, your cat or dog. This one-session class will teach expectant parents methods to a happy home for all family members. 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

• May 27, 2012 - Humane Society of Ocean City, NJ "Barks on the Boards"
  The Humane Society of Ocean City is busy planning its annual "Barks on the Boards" event and this year promises to be bigger than ever. The event being held on Sunday, May 27 (Memorial Day weekend) from noon until 2pm marks one of the very few occasions dog's are allowed on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Individual walkers and families register the same way they would for a regular 5k walk or run, collecting money from sponsors who donate on their behalf, except at "Barks on the Boards," dogs are invited to attend as well.

• June is National Pet Preparedness Month
  This month, timed for the first month of hurricane season, urges people with pets to make preparations in case they should be hit by a disaster…and that includes making plans for what you would do with your dog in case of a hurricane, tornado, flood or other natural disaster.
• June 4-8, 2012 is Pet Appreciation Week.
• June 12 is World Pet Memorial Day
  Recognizing the importance of remembering our cherished pets, the International Association of Pet Cemeteries (IAPC) has designated the second Sunday in September as National Pet Memorial Day.
