Chip implants linked to animal tumors - Yahoo! News
Oh geez, seeing headline like this "Chip implants linked to animal tumors - Yahoo! News" makes my heart stop.
I had the vet give Bailey a chip when it became clear that any time she sees a squirrel she was going to lose her mind and forget all the rules. Sure, she also has her tags on her collar, but it's too easy for the collar to come off/get lost, so I wanted some insurance. To say it would break my heart to lose her doesn't begin to cover it.
Now this report. This is the first I've heard of it, but you can bet I'll chat up the vet about it on our next visit. And watch the pup closely, as always.
Nothing is easy in life, eh? Still, at this point, I think I made the right call. Hope that's true...
