Scott Adams Blog: Dogs 07/25/2008

As I mentioned here earlier, Scott Adams, creator of the Dilbert comic strip, recently got a puppy. This posting reminds me of those long ago days of puppyhood - or provide some insight into what's coming for those of you about to get a new puppy for your home.

Trust me (1) it's funny (2) it's all worth it.

And I can't wait for more dog-related content from Scott!

Dog Flu Reported in New Jersey - Officials: Keep Fluffy away from other dogs

Not good news by any means, but I also think the recommendation to lock our dogs away from everyone and everything is unrealistic. Sure, if your pet's health is already compromised, you may need to go to that level. But for your average dog, in good health, some common sense steps should help.

The right mix of sleep, proper diet, and exercise combined with extra hand washing for the pet's humans, staying away from people and pets that you think may have been exposed, and maybe even extra baths or using those bath wipes on your pet when you've been out and about can all help keep your pet healthy.

Or, at least, that's what I think/hope... ;-)

Ya gotta check this out, when this man sings the puppies fall asleep!

Dilbert, Err, Scott Adams is Getting a Puppy
I'm a regular reader of Dilbert and his creator's blog (the aforementioned Scott Adams). With a new puppy on the way, something tells me the blog, and possibly the comic, will have an interesting new storyline. ;-)
