Just found this interesting tidbit on my Snapple Iced Tea lid:

Holland is the only country with a national dog.

A quick Google search tells me that the lucky dog is the Keeshond (also known as Wolfsspitz) which is known for being a watchdog on Dutch canal barges, riverboats, and farms.

• The New York Dog - Vanity Fair for dog-lovers featuring fashion, health, nutrition, biting humor, great writing and a lavish look.


• Fido Friendly - packed full of travel destinations that welcome Fido as well as fun and informative articles pertaining to: Diary of a Dog Chef, Fido Friendly Hotel reviews, Fido Friendly City and State reviews, Dog Trainer in Your Suitcase and much much more!
