Happy MS Patch Day! It's time to do some more patching...today it's IE, Outlook, and Windows NT/2000.
They're cumulative patches, so if you've missed any, now you'll be all caught up. Matrix Goes IMAX The folks behind the Matrix have announced that they're going to release an IMAX version of the sequels. I caught the IMAX version of SW:EPII and loved it - this is going to be awesome!

Adobe Acrobat 6 Is On The Way The more I read about the next version of Adobe Acrobat, the more I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it!
The same goes for Macromedia Flash! There's a new "Data Connection" version on the way that I hope will throw open the door to mainstream web application creation in Flash.

Article on the History of Napster The Boston Globe has an article that focuses on the early days of Napster. Seems the tale was even sadder than we thought...
Sorry NY Times, You've Got TiVo Fans All Wrong
Once again, the mainstream press misses the point. TiVo owners don't love Tivo because there's "slightly illicit " or because "You feel like you're working the system. You're in on a racket, and a racket is something you like to brag about." We love Tivo because it:
- makes it so easy to catch the shows we want to see,
- let us immediately play back something we missed or something we just enjoyed so much we want to see it again,
- pause a show when the phone/door/kid/spouse/friend interrupts.
And with the new Home Media Option we can also view/display photographs and listen to our MP3 collections on our TV. They did get 2 things right - TiVo evangelists do spread the word to one and all, and when we find each other, strangers suddenly have lots to talk about.
Sorry we can't oblige with a "darker angle" to help boost your circulation. But come on, it's just TV.
Oh yea, did I mention the cool movie trailers and interviews we get with our TiVo service? ;-)
