Back and Rested... Well, despite my better judgement, I have returned from Bermuda. ; ) As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I managed to avoid sun burn this time (3 cheers for 45 sunblock!). Here are some Bermuda webcams - altho the real thing is so much better... http://www.livebermuda.com/ http://www.bermudashorts.bm/glencam/ http://199.172.220.100/msiesmall.html http://live1.truelook.com/bermudadot/camera/live.jsp?name=bermudadot.camera.1&pan=0&tilt=-5&zoom=1&scale=0.8&quality=40 http://www.rccbermuda.bm/webcam main.htm
There's lots to get caught up on, but let me get a few quick things out of the way...
IE6 is Ready to Come out and Play Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) is officially released. As I've mentioned before, I've been using the beta(s) for quite some time now and it has been very stable. It is available to users of Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me), Windows NTŪ Workstation 4.0, and Windows 2000 Professional operating systems. (and, of course, will work with XP too.) While only the folks who like to customize their browser will see the bigger changes, I am recommending everyone load this version because (1) it is so stable and (2) this way you'll have the latest security updates. Get yours here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.htm
Once that's done, hop on over to apple.com to load the new QuickTime player (your old one won't work in IE6).
Postscript to PDF Tip Great tip from the Lockergnome today...for cheap PDF files, create a virtual Postscript printer, like the HP Color LaserJet 5/5M PS, set it to "Print to File", print your document to it, then take that file over to PS2PDF.COM and convert it for free. Pretty cool, eh?
More to come...
