Get Ready Star Wars Fans... Mark this date: October 16, 2001 - The worldwide release of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace on DVD. Word is it will be 2 DVDs, with "bonus material", deleted scenes, etc. However, there's no indication that it will include The Phantom Edit. Oh well...

Micropayments, Tech-enabled Car, and more... As I mentioned earlier (see below), I was lucky enough to attend a couple of seminars given by the fine folks from TechTV's The Screen Savers. During the day the ideas of micropayments on the web and cars with computer-related enhancements were discussed.
And today I see that Volkswagen is testing new eGeneration Golf and Microsoft is offer a "Build Your Own Custom Books" service! Is this like that thing where you buy a new car and suddenly see that car everywhere you go? ; )
[P.S. If Pat and Leo come to your town - go see them. The seminars are interesting and the presenters are brilliant!]

The Screen Savers in NJ The nice folks from The Screen Savers (on TechTV) came to NJ for a visit yesterday and I've posted some pix I took with my new digital camera (a.k.a. new toy!).
If you don't get TechTV - tell your cable company you want it!

MSTie News Alert! Fans of the late, lamented Mystery Science Theater 3000 will want to check out Kevin Murphy's article about Cannes. Personally, I'd pay for pix of Kevin in a tux! : )
And then I found the same story from the "other side" (plus, it's a nice trip down memory lane ::sob::).
